      As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has renovated the Primary Healthcare Clinic along the Workers Village in the Tudun Amba Community of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The bank also provided water facilities to ameliorate issues of water scarcity being experienced in the community in recent times. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communication Plc, Fidelity Bank, Meksley Nwagboh, said the dignity of every human person is a shared responsibility. The bank decided to embark on the project as a means of improving the living condition of people in the community and as part of the bank’s social responsibility to its host community.   The entire members of Our Lady’s High School Onitsha Old Students Association regret to announce the death of Rev. Fr. Prof. Wenceslaus Ofojebe. In a statement signed by the President General and Secretary of the Association, Dr Noble Oguguo and Mr John Okafor respectively, Ofojebe died on April 29, 2024 after a brief illness. The late Priest, an intellectual giant, was an Alumnus of Our Lady’s High School Onitsha and a staunch member of the Alumni Association. Prof. Ofojebe was a staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and a Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia. The funeral programme is as announced by the Secretariat of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia. May his soul and the souls of the Faithful departed through the Mercy of God rest in peace.

  The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara on Wednesday, 15th May, 2024 began tour of Police Divisions within the Command. The purpose of this tour is to assess the conditions of the Divisions and also hold meetings with stakeholders of the different communities. Communities visited on Wednesday include: Ikot Abasi LGA, Eastern Obolo LGA, and Mkpat Enin LGA. During the meeting with the stakeholders, CP Ayilara solicited their support in curbing crimes in the state.
